Ok, I just assumed you don't use the sub section on its own, it's meant to compliment the main osc. For use in isolation, I'd welcome this feature just for the Prophet VS waves alone.
How is the phase distortion option?

Fuzzy PD is actually really good with the sub 37 patches. Kind acts like a multi drive when you use moog sub waveforms

I have to retract my previous statement about SA3. I just bought it even though I really didn't want to (the upgrade price of $50 is hard to compete with for almost double the instruments) and when I first get it all installed and open it up... all of the presets are sorted synth! It may sound like a small thing, but to me it's huge. I have a good idea of which synth I want to use & why for about half of it, and the rest I would like to try by synth. Beautiful. Not to mention the other updates as well (the sub waveforms, adding phrase to the arps, fx, etc).
If you are on the fence about this, I highly recommend biting the bullet and giving it ago before the intro price ends tomorrow.

So i bought this and really like the sound and the editing possibilities, which I think are quite good for a rompler.
What I miss:
Global FX Lock, global Arp lock, the possibility to link envelope and filter controls of the Osc and the Sub, and I really dislike the fact that uvi workstation always jumps back to the main view when you switch presets.
Still I think this will get used here because of the good sounding samples which complement the sound of my virtual instruments.

Although I like this library I have to say that I think Syntronik nailed this type of library and I still prefer it. Actually I was kind of put off by syntronik at first. But, it is more than the preset machine I initially took it for.
Anyhow, SA3 does have some interesting good sounding sample underpinnings. And of course Falcon gives you massive capability on top.

Interesting observation, how so, in what ways do you think? I’d be interested to hear, thanks.SJ_Digriz wrote: Wed Nov 11, 2020 2:19 am Although I like this library I have to say that I think Syntronik nailed this type of library and I still prefer it. ....

Syntronik just has more control. Anthology is just a rompler.

I think the raw sounds are more "organic" .. sorry about the usual non-objective description. Patch per patch, Syntronik sounds better to my ears. And, the raw osc config sounds are better as well. Obviously, Falcon is an entire other beast. But, ST4 is pretty beefy as well if you are comparing capability to capability. I just think as a base set of sounds, syntronik is better. However, I like both and I prefer Falcon to ST4.
EDIT: my point was mainly that their are various curated sets of synth presets available. I just wanted to point out one that if you simply look at it as a library of really good starting point presets, I think Syntronik is hugely overlooked. It sounds really good.

I agree, Falcon with this library would be sensational. No question. However, the library itself on its own, is limited

Syntronik costs $300 and Synth Anthology $99, the edition from Synthronik is confusing and uses the same filters for all synthesizers (same as SA3), the UVI base waves are far superior in quality, warmth and sound. SA3 wins easily, for price and performance, thanks to UVI for this great instrument!
