Someone created a Google drive with a lot of Vital presets that are collected from a discord server.
There's several hundred which vary in quality but might be worth downloading?

Wow, the preset format is so verbose! Nearly half a gigabyte for just over 500 presets. It looks like all the wavetable data is copied into each preset in plain text format, even where it's a factory wavetable. I guess that makes it easier to share presets (no worries about whether you've got the right wavetables installed, everything is always embedded), but it chews through the disk space.
Another thought: with the presets in text (json) format, it opens the door for third parties to create preset randomisers by editing the text files.

I'd rather recommend going to the Vital Discord server and looking through the Preset Render channel previews yourself and only download the good ones. Otherwise you'll be clogged with very many rather bland things...Markin wrote: Sat Dec 05, 2020 12:47 pm Someone created a Google drive with a lot of Vital presets that are collected from a discord server.

But yeah, there is great stuff in there too
As for the presets including all the data: I'd say while very convenient, it's a bit of a copyright nightmare... Hard to keep track where certain wavetables came from and what kind of copyright they are under.
Cheers,
Tom

Yes, I think you are right Tom, I noticed that there are many duplicate presets in the link I provided.ThomasHelzle wrote: Sun Dec 06, 2020 1:37 am

I would also recommend the Vital Discord server especially if you want to keep things organized.

The notes you don't play creates the silent gaps for you to hear the notes you do play

Hi everyone,
A little preview of my next sound-set: One for Vital.
Press one key and Vital will play a song. (No samples, just synthesis)
We keep in touch!
Release should be before the end of this year.
Just macros are modulated.

This is very heavy for disk space! Is this something the developer will improve any news? Or will this preset format stay like this = heavy for disk space?ahanysz wrote: Sun Dec 06, 2020 12:07 am Wow, the preset format is so verbose! Nearly half a gigabyte for just over 500 presets. It's more a challenge and an experience!
Make this kind of demonstration presets is challenging with a 3 oscillators and a noise source, without any external sample and external processing!
For sure, I will go back to sound design exploration-:)
