I'd say 'tallica, but I'd rather just have Mesa Boogie Collection 2 instead, with a 1984 Mark IIC+, Lone Star Special, California Tweed and Fillmore amps.

Mark IIC+ covers a fair share of Dream Theater as well.

As a "non-specific artist" related, Matchless Collection gets my vote anytime.

Totally agree about the Hiwatt. The model is incomplete until channel bridging is modeled, like the JH Gold and Red Pig.]

Not sure if Hiwatt still makes those. I think, these were made circa 2006 ("On an island" album and tour).

Whatever the next AmpliTube collection is, it needs to have a CE-2. Literally everyone else does a CE-2 model. As the definitive chorus pedal, it is a prerequisite. The CE-2’s particular shade of blue is even synonymous with chorus. I don’t know what IK has against this legendary stompbox, but AmpliTube can’t really be considered a complete guitar solution until it has a CE-2 model.

yep, Boss CE-2 is a fine chorus, esp vintage MIJ models. both CE-1 / CE-2 are a "must". TPS folk reviewed them a while ago, both are great pedals in their own right

Satriani seems to have CE-2 in possession, along with MIJ DD-2. too bad they didn't end up in Satch Collection.

That’s why I say IK must have something against the CE-2. They had the perfect opportunity to model an original MIJ CE-2, and they opted instead to model yet another BOSS DS-1 that sounds just like the BOSS DS-1 that was already in AmpliTube since AT Metal.

just a dumb omission on IK's part, CE-2. and I think Satch himself was involved in pedal selection for the Collection, so it's partly on him. I'm sure he had more interesting stuff to offer than DS and OD, but held off.

anyway, it is actually better for us they didn't model it early on, circa AT2. once they do CE-2 with their current technology, it's more to our benefit.

I was the one who did the DS-1 null test, LOL! And while they don’t null, as a practical matter they do sound the same to the ear. Certainly close enough that it was a waste to model it again (unlike some of the other, far more inaccurate old stomp and amp models.)

You’re right about many of the older models. The CE-1 model isn’t very accurate. Mainly, the parameter ranges are totally out of whack. But that’s due to just plain laziness or incompetence. There’s really no good reason that the rate should go up that high.

I just don’t think they’re ever going to do the CE-2. Maybe they think since they already have the CE-1, they don’t need a CE-2, despite having 2 DS-1s, 2 Fuzzfaces, 2 JCM 800s, 2 JCM 900s, 2 JTM Super Leads, 2 Silver Jubilees, 2 Mesa Boogie Mark IIIs, 3 Vox AC-30s, 3 Fender Bassmans, and 4 Fender Twins.

I expect accurate HQ modulation pedals from Audiority next year. I spotted Phase 90, Mistress and CE-2 on their social media, I think we'll see them in 2021.
