Ears V2.0

Buts seriously just play along with a similar sounding patch and even if you have to fumble in the dark at first, you’ll get it eventually.

Start with trying to find the bass notes (the lowest sounding notes but not necessarily the root notes of the chord).
Then try adding the melody notes (the highest sounding notes).
Then the trickiest part is trying to fill in the middle voices. But with trial and error you’ll get it.
The more you practice this, the faster you’ll get. And eventually you’re results will be much more accurate than any software is likely to be.

But yeah if don’t wanna do this, the hornet thing’s probably good, give it a demo.

This likely only works when you need to learn well-know pop/rock sounds and not electronic music...but for my cover band learning 95% of the time I just find what I need on the Ultimate Guitar site. It has a transpose feature so if you play it in a different key, use a capo etc it's easy move it. Plus you get the lyrics, and my habit is to copy/paste into a google doc and then edit as needed (sometimes fix), adding notes and taking out chords for later verses/choruses unless they differ from the early ones. I have good ears and can hear changes very well but this is an immense time saver for me, especially with trickier inversions that may be harder to hear in a finished mix when I learning just my part (though to be fair, the trickier the song is the less I trust the site! :D)

Again, probably only works for well-known pop/rock tunes.
