Oh please. Cherry Audio has an entire virtual modular system that includes this synth in module form where you can modulate every parameter in a way that no other PolyMoog (there’s only actually one other emulation that I’m aware of) emulation can, and put it aside other totally new and different modules. I find I can make some very unique and modern sounds with it. You should try it, instead of wasting your time bemoaning other people’s efforts.johnwoo wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 4:49 am Yet another emulation of something old , that are already emulated by others, 20000 times already ...

I'll be first in line if anyone is ever brave enough to make an emulation of the Andromeda.johnwoo wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 5:26 am Don't understand me wrong ... I like it too ... Congratulations on the release! I haven't tried many of your plugins so far - but the Juno emulation is really, really great.
I especially like the resonance and the keytracking of the filter. Fantastic things can be done with just those two.

I could imagine to limit a voice per channel to pitch at least. Same actually for CA2600. When I bend one of the voices I don’t want to bend the rest...cherryDan wrote: Mon Feb 01, 2021 9:50 pmThe Polymoog is a very odd synthesizer. It is largely paraphonic, much closer to a string synth than a true poly synth, with each filter section (VCF, Resonators, and Mode Filters) being mono. As such, Polymode Synthesizer doesn't lend itself to being controlled by MPE.
We'll certainly have more MPE-compatible instruments in the future!

But as far as I know the Polymoog had a VCA and VCF per key which would have some more parameters that could be modulated...

Count the thumbs up for your post and you get the thumbs down for the post you dislike...plexuss wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 7:21 amThis is an example of where the thumbs down would be preferable to having multiple disapproving posts.johnwoo wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 4:49 am Yet another emulation of something old , that are already emulated by others, 20000 times already ...

Though I could agree to johnwoo’s perspective, I don’t really care and there seems to be a market. In the end the only thing important is how it sounds and if it adds to the palette. My experience with CA’s oldtimers is great so far. Count it as thumbs up for both...

Any chances of improving the internal oversampling in all of your newer synths (Polymode, CA2600 and DCO-106), if there is any? They all suffer a little from digital aliasing...

Look another user mentions the aliasing issue , looks like it's not only in ca 2600 .
They will probably accuse me of using pop sucket account , just like they did on gearslutz .
It seems that the polymoog does not have osc.sync ..it would make the aliiasing even worse

You could have made it less obvious at least. I mean '...ider' and '...iber' is practically the same name!gentleclockdivider wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 1:08 pm They will probably accuse me of using pop sucket account

o when it comes to cherry audio it is moaning, and other developers/brands not? this is the moaning forum, i thought.
let's make clear: i use voltage modular a lot, own a lot of modules. a lot. so very deep in voltage modular.
but that does not mean, you may be critical. the resonance on synthvoice, for example... (which is a kind of ca 2600, but not really......). they fixed more for ca 2600, still not enought, buth synthvoice, has the same problems. no update...
because of the problems, deeply descirbed. i refrain from buying more. still buy some modules, from developers for VM. and cherry audio didn't released modules for a long time. and i have them all of cherry audio themselves.
so is this moaning, or i work with voltage modular with great pleasure, it gives me results, but some things need, really need attention?

And you'd be living in The Netherlands, a land full of Nethers.
Ontopic:
In 2021 it's really strange to come across aliasing soft synths. Especially the ones claiming to be an emulation of a hardware synth. (there's no aliasing in the analog domain)

Is there anything unique that the Andromeda does that has not yet been emulated in a VST apart from the actual user interface? I mean plugins like Dune 3, ANA2, Pigments, Serum, Diva, PolyKB etc. are already very flexible in the way they allow you to set up oscillators, filters and modulation routings. What USP from the A6 has not yet been emulated?Arashi wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 5:48 amI'll be first in line if anyone is ever brave enough to make an emulation of the Andromeda.johnwoo wrote: Tue Feb 02, 2021 5:26 am Don't understand me wrong ... Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care
