Sure, you are entitled to your opinion obviously!

But it was formulated in a particularly snarky way which I just found funny, so I thought I'd ask if there's a deeper story there

Because this seems like it is out of Kilohearts wheelhouse based on the rest of their really basic plugins..my bad "snap-ins", they mention that it is "not our"filter, and Jatin has wrapped a non-linear filter from his "Complex Nonlinearties" distortion algorithms that does a very similar thing in how the distortion/non-linearity interrelates with the filter

then i suppose it is Jatin's filter then.

It looks like it just has a few saturation modes, not like all the different modes (9 in total) on the KH one?

I like it. Sounds great and for not even 10 bucks a great Snapin.

Liking it :tu:

Kilohearts rock.

They do look similar in parameter layout. If that's the case then good to see Jatin's genius audio DSP being implemented into commercial grade audio software!

I hope this will also address some of the stability and CPU issues present in some of the early prototypes.

Um. This filter is Really Good. Doesn't matter to me where it came from. I have a Sherman Filterbank and a Sherman 2, a Mu Tron and a lot of filter plugins. I really like this one. The sound is clear and fresh and well balanced. It has a lot of depth -- sweeping it across sampled strings right now and it is very nice.

Post

Hadn’t thought of using this on strings. Tx.

Such a good filter. I use it on almost everything. Gives a really warm sound (depending on the mode).

Wow, this is really good. I'm using it with the LFO and Envelope Follower inside DAW, and I really like it. And it's been converted for free. Give that a try. I love Distortion and Ladder Filter too.

Btw, Kilohearts Limiter is one to try out as well. Performs better than my commercial limiters, and I have quite a few.

oh nice the free one ?

I for some reason deleted these, I see this non linear filter has been added to those - will grab them again.
