It's hard to imagine Spectrasonics completely ignored customer requests for RMX2 but if they wanted to do it, it wouldn't take 20 years even with a ton features. I think they just decided to go in a different direction.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 9:01 pm My guess is that they are doing a replacement that is much more than loops. They are very good at sampling, and I'd bet they are putting together a multi-sampled drum instrument, but they will be deeply editable, and individual drums able to be switched out etc., with a huge loop library probably both of the kits as well as other loops.
Whatever it will be called, it will be a totally different animal and it will be a beast.dblock wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 9:06 pm It's hard to imagine Spectrasonics completely ignored customer requests for RMX2 but if they wanted to do it, it wouldn't take 20 years even with a ton features. I'm using a loop from it in a track I'm finishing right now. I use RMX as rhythmic filler mostly. I use edit mode to separate elements to their own channels and process some of the over processing out of it or add my own modifying. It's like an old car. I part out the stuff that works for me.QuietSheep wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 10:30 pm Just heard a lot of the loops and a lot of it is heavily processed and cheesy. Not sure how id personally take advantage of it. That said I can't think of any percussive vst like this one so a v2 would be neat.
I imported many Akai CD loops (SAGE tool) and also loops in recycle format. So u have the choice.QuietSheep wrote: Sat Aug 26, 2023 10:30 pm Just heard a lot of the loops and a lot of it is heavily processed and cheesy. Not sure how id personally take advantage of it. That's been their catchphrase for years. And I'm sure they haven't, but I don't want "He hadn't forgotten about rhythm" on Eric's tombstone in 50 years time.vad.martyn wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 8:39 pm in one of the Omnisphere videos they answered that question by everyone (developers and sound designers ) in unison saying "we havent forgotten about rhythm"
Yeah, when you get old enough you don't remember what you forgot. Wait, what?noiseboyuk wrote: Mon Sep 11, 2023 8:48 pmThat's been their catchphrase for years.
