They're not becoming any more boring, you're just getting old ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I like my DAW to be boring. That means it's a solid, mature piece of software that gets the job done without any unpleasant surprises or changes for the sake of change.
The good thing with Studio One is that you have options. You can upgrade immediately when a new version comes out and play the "What did they break this time?" game, or you can wait for the inevitable hotfix before you upgrade, which is more boring but a lot more productive

Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care

Think you are bored with the way you are making music now and maybe consider changing that, instead of expecting someone will develop a DAW that will take you on fun journey of music making while you are sitting in your chair and clicking your mouse away, that's gaming. Maybe it's time you join a band, perfect an instrument, get some instruments, make music live, spice things up, challenge yourself a little.

Man oh man. You’d have to be extraordinary untalented, unskilled, unmusical and mentally underprivileged to get bored with a DAW like Reason.

what would be the advantage here? what would that achieve?THE INTRANCER wrote: Tue Jul 13, 2021 6:00 am The topic is about DAWs...
But here's a taste of what I'm getting at... an interactive experience... By comparison, the DAWs we look at are boring lifeless entities.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Did you actually watch that video?THE INTRANCER wrote: Tue Jul 13, 2021 6:00 amThe topic is about DAWs...

Here's the first thing said in that video: "This is a game about music. But the music is really lacking."
So if your argument is based on allegedly 'exciting' tools that actually result in boring lifeless music, then you've not actually thought this through.
If you want to make using your DAW more exciting feel free to tape lit fireworks to your mouse while dipping your nuts in a tank full of piranhas. Everyone else is fine.
