Kilohearts Convolver

Even those who own the Ultimate collection do not get the new plugins at any discount beyond the intro.

There is an additional discount. You go to the shop and there's an option to add the discounted upgrade to your cart (as a Toolbox Ultimate owner). In the case of Convolver it was a cost of $16.00, to upgrade the full collection to include it.

Oh, FFS. They don't make this remotely obvious, and this should be automatic. There was no such option on the Convolver product page, nor any note about updating Ultimate.

Has anyone registered it? Having problems with the installer here.

I've had issues with the Windows installer multiple times where it won't download the latest update. I forget what I did last time but this time I deleted the entire Kilohearts folder in ProgramData and then it updated correctly (and then I had to reinstall everything since, y'know, I just deleted the entire data folder).

if I remember correctly you have to start the installer with administrator rights for it to perform the self-update...

Actually... I own Ableton Convolution Reverb and NI Reflektor, neither of which is stadalone and streamlined.

Maybe it's time to grab a plugin that does one thing and does it quickly?

Good to know. It seems like if you've run the installer previously it somehow caches the "latest" version so that even if you redownload the executable from their site it still works off of the old version. At least that has happened to me at least twice. I'll try the administrator trick next time and see if that helps.

I have the ultimate (all tools) versions and this cost me £11 to add. I love the way Kilohearts do updates, the best system by far.

So I went ahead and bought it. One-stop plugin for all the convolution needs.

Drag & drop doesn't work for me, but it allows to add custom folder(s) and loads Ableton IRs.

Looks like a pretty cool simple IR loader. Do kilohearts normally send vouchers to everything owners? I know it's only 19.50 but I'm broke so didn't want to buy it yet if there is a voucher on the way. Still. Looks pretty good to me.

Thanks for sharing! Indeed you can upgrade your Toolbox via the Toolbox page when logged in.

Because we've been adding products without changing the bundle prices there is a bit of a quirk in the maths where if you own everything already then the upgrade to PRO is slightly cheaper than the upgrade to ULTIMATE... Both just add the missing license to your collection so please go for that.

We shall be trying to get that fixed before the next new product release!

You're right... I'm sure that there used to be a notification to check upgrade offers when buying new products. We'll take a look at this with the guys to make sure it's more obvious.

We have plans to update the site in general as our product range and offers have evolved and some things, like this, could definitely be clearer.

Heads up: A new update to v1.8.20 is now available and should fix those sneaky bugs that somehow got all the way through beta testing! Run the installer to update.

I tried it. It's okay. When you do not already have a convolver it's a good start for twenty bucks. Probably a good thing for customer of the whole Kilohearts enviroment too but otherwise if you already own a convolver and/or are not in KHs environment you don't need it as this is nothing special.
