personaly i find a reverb on a synth is a waste of dsp ressource... i like to process the sound first / dry. and if the synth sound great without reverb i t s even less needed for selling it, better put more effort on good dry sound than developping fx imo, unless they can be modulated with the synth modulators i don t care about fx on synth

In case you didn't know the Super 6 is a homage to vintage synths which didn't come with reverbs. It's nothing to do with money. Some synths are about the raw sound and this one doesn't need to hide behind a reverb.Teksonik wrote: Thu Nov 18, 2021 9:19 pmBlows my mind that in 2021 a $3000+ hardware synth doesn't have a built in reverb and would require someone to spend up to another $330 to add one......rubez wrote: Thu Nov 18, 2021 7:25 pm Blows my mind VSTs are still so user unfriendly as they were 20+ years ago.![]()
This would be like expecting an expensive guitar to come with a distortion.
For some reason, all synths except maybe Peak have embarrassingly bad reverbs so probably for the best.

maybe just use any convolution reverb you have with real space slap a big chorus on it a limiter or a compressor a eq .. that would get the job done as well maybe even better than a algo reverb. i was doing that years ago when native algo reverb were really bad and got very good result.
plugins is really a buisness cause everyone was saying convolution is bad it s static .. cause algo reverb makers were really spreading bad things about convolution even if convolution were sounding better than their reverb for some stuff.. lmao

yes i think lexicon bundle was the first good ones but art acoustic was decent also, i used a lot ssl Xverb later ( a relab creation)chk071 wrote: Thu Nov 18, 2021 2:06 pm It's funny. I often see Youtube vids where people play their hardware synths through software reverbs. Seems like they're good enough now.I remember a lot of discussions in more hardware heavy forums about outboard reverbs being better than software ones.

Oh I know what the Super 6 is and how much it costs but yea I know anything with the word "Analog" attached to it commands high dollars.rubez wrote: Thu Nov 18, 2021 9:36 pmIn case you didn't know the Super 6 is a homage to vintage synths which didn't come with reverbs. And yet here you are looking for a Reverb to run it through so.....rubez wrote: Thu Nov 18, 2021 9:36 pm Some synths are about the raw sound and this one doesn't need to hide behind a reverb.
Anyway I would recommend some good Reverb plugins but they're "user unfriendly" so I'll just wish you good luck and good day.

I installed UHE Diva, Sylenth1 and Fab filter Pro demos today and the DAW picked those up fine. I installed Seventh heaven in Steinberg folder, VST3 folder, reboot, rescan DAW, nothing.
Don't know if it is ilok or what but you'd think the need for burrowing though folder directories like a f**king hamster would have been a thing of the past after 20 years. But it's legitimately gotten worse.

Check Cubase's blacklist (IF Cubase is your DAW. You mentioned a Steinberg folder.). It always dislikes the one or the other plugin for no apparent reason.
No, not really.rubez wrote: Thu Nov 18, 2021 10:08 pm Don't know if it is ilok or what but you'd think the need for burrowing though folder directories like a f**king hamster would have been a thing of the past after 20 years. But it's legitimately gotten worse.

I'm using Ableton but Steinberg is a default folder for a lot of plug in VSTs, which just goes to show how absurd the situation is.
No matter I'll use one of the Valhalla's since I know those just work and sound great.

Well.. if you ever had ANY software from Steinberg installed, it changes the VST path in the registry, which will be why your plugins are installed there (other plugins may point to that folder as well). Check this thread about it: viewtopic.php?t=400270rubez wrote: Thu Nov 18, 2021 10:26 pm I'm using Ableton but Steinberg is a default folder for a lot of plug in VSTs, which just goes to show how absurd the situation is.
Not an issue anyway, if you pointed your DAW to that plugin folder. And, of course it should scan the plugins in your VST3 folder as well.
I don't have Seventh Heaven, so I can't comment on it. Other than I'm sure that it's not a common problem, otherwise more people would mention it here.
