Sampling is one thing but is there a tool that can sample and find perfect loops at the same time?

So, even if it's "worth the money", is it ever on sale?

How accurate is the looping? I've had "auto-looping" software in the past and it was hit and miss at best.

Auto looping is still a game of hazard. I´d better think about other methods because the most time consuming task after looping itself is testing - and quickly generating a pile of trash is a waste of time, too.

You should also consider that loops are not played back the same way with every sample player. NI Kontakt for example is really stubborn when it´s about looping - and many other tools have their own problem zones, too.
You should in the first step ask yourself how you want to loop things, what the result should look like - and know why.

I'm having issues with sample mapper. On my dell xps, saving with the program works fine and can load in unify, except it does not load the loop information. When I save the same samples with the same loop info in sample mapper on a different computer, it opens in unify and also preserves the loop points.
I have no idea what the issue could be.
I am using Directwave and Edison to create and loop the wavs that are the source of the sfz.
Perhaps its an issues with Directwave and Edison, as I don't update the computer.
Is there not any other free to use or atleast test once, a sfz mapper? I could create the multisamples even in another program as well to test, but everything seems outdated, or paid, but no way to test (bliss creates the multisamples but can't see them on the computer).

Of course you can now test out all possible programs. For me, I found out that the quickest wayTouch The Universe wrote: Tue Mar 08, 2022 4:44 am I would like to know your guys preferred way to create sfz files. I'm hoping there is some consensus on what the best method is, as I've learned to trust kvr over the years;the majority is usaully right![]()
What I really want to know is if there is a way to convert a preset from any old synth directly into sfz, ie, without first having to multi sample them into tagged .wav files and then import those into another tool to create the sfz.
...
- and also the best way - is to simply create the SFZ file myself in a text editor.
At "sfzformat.com" you can find all the information about the format itself - and it's not
complicated, you can learn it in half a day. I use notepad++ and have put together various templates.
Creating the SFZ files, which then work universally in every SFZ player, is very quick. And even
better: I have full control - I can quickly add changes, adjustments or improvements.

Hey, thats a stellar suggest, thanks!
I was wondering if you could confirm that the sfz created would work in the unify plugin from plugin guru, specifically?

Yes, Unify is a kind of “universal plugin container”. It can load all VST2 or VST3 plugins - and thereforeTouch The Universe wrote: Sat Sep 16, 2023 4:45 am Hey, thats a stellar suggest, thanks!

also any SFZ sampler.
However, the idea of "Unify" is not really clear to me: Why not load a plugin directly - without "Unify"?
Almost every DAW has problems with different plugins, and a lot of developers are working to fix
these very specific problems - and make the plugins run as smoothly as possible. How is a “unify”
supposed to suddenly do this for all plugins and all DAWs all by itself? That seems pretty strange to
me.
Actually, if you have a DAW, you only need one good sampler and you can then load all kinds of libraries into it.
