And I almost completely overlooked this thread because I misread its title and thought this was another boring Neural DSP "Archetype" product that aims at reproducing the gear of another tedious shredder I've never heard of (named Steve Ack)
Priceless!

Yeah, I was somewhere in between NeuralDSP and NAMM show... :hihi:

It`s not a bug... it`s a feature!

Version 0.62 is out which adds single profile file format loading, an IR loader, and EQ.

The trick with any of these tone capture/profile loader plugins/devices like Tonex etc is the proper input gain whether it be boosted by 5db, or sometimes needs to be lowered by a few db or more. And the proper speaker IR for the amp and type of tone captured. You also may not want to stray to far with the EQ controls, as these amp tones were captured in a certain sweet spot. And as always different guitars/pickup combinations will sound better than others, so try them with all your guitars if you experience a bad tone, it may sound awesome with different pickups etc.

As mentioned in first post, this is still being actively discussed on the FB group, with bug reports/feature requests, and most of all, thread and posts with user contributed profiles that is slowly growing with some really great high def captures of some classic tones.

Remember, this is completely FREE and super high quality (most NAM users will say higher quality than Tonex, especially for super high gain saturated sounds)

The capture software is cloud based. It seems pretty straight forward after you watch this tutorial video, but more on the advanced side of geeky tech. Not as intuitive as Tonex which uses your CPU/GPU to proccess. The machine/computer on the cloud that you upload your capture info to de-convolute/learn has a $10,000 GPU in it that processes super fast. It spits out an amp profile file onto a server directory and you download it when it appears.

Having the Google Drive of all captures is a massive help. I kept holding off on trying this because of the myriad of links to single captures, Facebook posts and so on.

Thanks!

TONEX just had an update a few days ago that improves accuracy as well, specifically for high gain tones.

Thanks metalifuxx for the info and the downloads - I'm not on FB so it's highly appreciated.
This indeed sounds fantastic and does all I need.
I mostly play clean to slightly crunched - on an Ibanez semi acoustic - and the Tone King Imperial is perfect for me.

Any recommendation for Bass?

Cheers!

Hmm, I am not sure if there is any bass oriented amps in there yet. I thought I recalled seeing a few, but you'll have to check through the zip file. Each capture file/folder is named pretty good. But as a general tip, guitar amps will work with bass, just use a bass cab IR etc, and or do a high cut after plugin output. The harmonics these profiles offer should also give you a pretty good bass tone. The plugin does come with a generic builtin EQ which is situated post amp capture, and is not supposed to act as a typical amp tonestack.

Ok, thanks! I'll give it a try.

I should also add, that if you have amps that you can capture with a re-amp box with the provided training file but don’t have the ability to process them in the training software to convert them, go onto the NAM FB group and kindly ask one of the guys there that have been doing full captures/training conversions, and they could process your files for you. It’s all about getting more and unique and diverse amps into this free community database of profiles. It’s growing with more new users and even more profile packs each day.
