Is it the label colour change option when you double click the bottom right screw?Edouard Arturia wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 4:54 pm By the way guys, there's an easter in the KORG MS-20 V, who's gonna find it first?

So, with Augmented Strings / Voices we have what we all suspected now that we are able to edit patches. These instruments are basically versions of Pigments at their core, with both fewer and additional features.
They have their own unique sample libraries, but the familiar Sampler, Granular, Analog, Harmonic, and Wavetable engines are there, arranged as two Oscs each in two layers. You always have two synths and two samplers, but you can arrange them across both layers however you wish. Granular is considered a synth, and is not part of the Sampler engine. There are only a small selection of wavetables. The synths have fewer controls, and the Granular and Harmonic engines rely heavily on presets for the rest. Don't expect the tweakability you get in Pigments.
Each layer has its own filter, but with only six filter types. Modulation is nearly identical to Pigments, but with fewer options (2 LFOs, 2 Function generators which also serve as envelopes, two random, plus the standard Vel, AT, MW, and KBD). Macros are expanded to eight, with four dedicated to FX. FXs are split between layers, with one layer FX macro per layer, and two global FX macros dedicated to delay and reverb. The macro names cannot be changed. Each macro can only modulate parameters consistent with the macro type. The Morph control appears to be a cross fade between the two layers.
Of the 16 Pigments FX, only Multiband and Flanger are missing, for a total of 14.

I wish this of all the Arturia plugins. I wish the keyboards could be hidden, like the Tal ones. Takes up a lot of space.Vortifex wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 5:03 pm I really wish you could hide the keyboard on the MS-20. It takes up nearly a third of the UI, and the fonts are blurry under 100% UI size which mean I have to make the UI pretty big and the keyboard is just wasting space on the screen.

Yeh, it sort of feels like they could of added these to Pigments as add on packs? Anyway, they are pretty good and cheap as chips as part of the bundle so I am not complaining...I like the vocal one quite a bit.teilo wrote: Tue May 10, 2022 5:25 pm So, with Augmented Strings / Voices we have what we all suspected now that we are able to edit patches. My upgrade price is $199USD (which in CDN dollars is really expensive) - seems rather steep considering what's new. Not exactly running for the credit card so far.

They usually do that (lower upgrade price) leading up to a new version. If you wait a while you should see some type of sale.

I had V 8, FX 2, Pigments, and SQ-80. My upgrade price was $149. So owning FX 2 didn't lower the price any.

I'd love to compare the sound engines of CS-80 V3 and V4. Unfortunately, the presets are completely different. For all practical purposes, V4 is a brand new instrument.
