Minimal Audio wrote: Wed Jul 27, 2022 5:51 pm Hey! To everyone wondering about modulation and things like "syncing to the timeline."

We decided that automation was the best way to do this because internal modulation inside of Morph EQ makes it very difficult to edit the morph paths on the screen.

The benefit of using automation is that when you stop your DAW timeline, the animation of the points stops as well. This allows you to edit the EQ freely and sync everything to the timeline in a manner we feel is both easy and intuitive.

We totally get the desire to have modulation on board, though — I wouldn't say it will never be added, but I'd also say I think you won't be disappointed in its current state, and if that's your thing, our next flagship products will blow your mind :)
Cool, it sounds like you have more plug-ins to release in the not too distant future. I decided to get Morph EQ because of how much I love Rift 2.0. Like others, I also have UVI's Shade and it often gets used along with Rift.

Morph EQ has a nice workflow and like Rift, it has an attractive GUI with excellent colors (especially the dark mode), with one glaring exception. It's extremely small! It appears to be more than 50% smaller than Rift. Is there an option to enlarge it somehow? I don't see anything mentioned in the manual.

It would be disappointing to have such a well-designed, modern GUI to work with without being able to see much of the important detail. The size that you chose for Rift would be just right for Morph EQ, in my humble opinion. I've got my fingers crossed on that one!!

My other question is about macOS and M1 processor compatibility. Is Morph EQ able to run on the most recent Mac hardware and operating systems? On an M1 Mac, can it be used natively or do we need to use Rosetta? I would appreciate any info you may have. Cheers!!
We fully support M1 processors and the most up-to-date macOS release. Rosetta is not required :) We have not tested our software on macOS Ventura beta yet.

As BeeDog mentioned, you can resize the interface by dragging on the bottom right corner.

Glad you're enjoying Morph EQ!

That's great, thank you!! :tu:

this is such a WASTED opportunit not having some LFOs etc. in there. if you say you can modulate them within your DAW, all VST devs can say that and leave out Modulators... :ud:

Love Rift but this EQ is sadly just on the, money saved. hope Shade from UVI adds this stuff to their EQ.

Agreed. I didn't buy Morph EQ because I could see myself spending a lot of time working with DAW automation which is not something I enjoy. This would have been good if even time synced modulation was included. alas...

LOL I dont know if you were one of the folks I spoke to via email last week but yeah Ventura is a no go for now. Wracked my brain for 2-3 days trying to get it to read/write the licenses and presets in the Application Support folder, but I ended up giving up and rolled back to my Monterey backup so I could use it. Whatever weird issue that was prevented Rift, Rift Filter, Rift Feedback and MorphEQ from reading/writing to their folders in /Library/App Support and they wouldn't unlock and authorize.

New PB came out today but I'm over it. I'm sticking with Monterey since everything works here.

I bought it but I agree too...
Some internal modulators in here are really lacking especially after Rift having such a great system inside...

I was (browser)window shopping on PB and saw Morph EQ bundled with a soundset. I figured I'd go for it now that I know about Reaper's built in parameter modulation. Morph EQ is pretty nice. It sounds great and the visualization is fantastic. It's a lot of fun to use. Using Reapers modulation is ok but I would still prefer a separate built-in mod for each of the main parameters. then the patch can be saved with its own modulation opening up a whole dimension of creativity. but it's still worth it because it sounds so cool.

you can save a patch with the modulation lanes in Reaper - just use the save FXChain function. It is not perfect as you have to make those parameters visible again individually but all the settings are there and the automation will be working just not visible in lanes Maybe there is a method to show the lanes as well

Hi Minimal Audio
I already flag to your support. Morph EQ deosn't work properly with Reaper 7.
I'm not allow to use automation. The time timeline stop playing when the Morph Eq is open.
The time line play again when I close the plugin
It's looks like conflict

Thanks, just got it. A nice more straight forward alternative to UVI Shade. Automation is working for me in Reaper 7.22

Cool eq, $9.99 is a great deal. I was gonna say it was free with Bitwig, but it looks like they ended that, bummer. Anyway, good stuff imo. :tu:
