Alchemy is great!

Is this just a list thread, or are we actually discussing something about additive synths?

Just a thread, but I would love to update it.

As KarmaFx was mentioned and it supports MPE, I got curious and downloaded the demo. I would not call its additive oscillator interesting, as it seems, it just creates a static waveform. Though its on sale with 80% off I can easily resist GAS. All the presets sound like any other bread and butter subtractive synth. Its far from inspiring. Something like Vertigo is more interesting, but I didn’t explore it yet too deeply…
In a way additive needs to be able to modulate at least the level of partials independently and needs to group partials to lower the amount of envelopes needed for this. Best is if it allows to import/analyze samples as starting points of additive tweaking…
The main problem of additive synthesis is its amount of parameters to control. You need to tame it somehow without putting too many restrictions on it…

I love Karma FX as a trance synth. I really think it has its own character!

No reason a synth like f'em can't be used purely as an additive synth. If you insist upon using only sine waves and ignore the noise, sample and filter operators, it has 8 sine waves per layer with four layers available, giving you 32 partials total. Each partial would have its own dedicated Pitch and Level LFOs and Envelopes (although you can freely route them via mod matrix, plus there are other modulation options). And with the layer system, each layer of 8 partials can have their own effect chains, unison settings (which also allow you to fake additional partials), etc. Each Partial could have its own panning as well.

While you would have fewer partials than some synths, you would gain the additional flexibility of tuning each partial exactly as you want (inharmonic tuning), rather than being restricted to harmonics (whole number ratio to fundamental frequency) as in many additive synths. Plus you aren't restricted to sine waves, you have operator feedback, etc.

I mention this because it is still on sale at audiodeluxe for $29 rather than the regular price of $179, so now is the time to grab it if interested.

What do you think of Warlock?

I almost wrote off Akoustic (only 30 partials, ring mod, and noise), but it has ADSR, gain, offset, and tuning per partial, which makes it sort of intriguing as a kind of mini-additive.

Oh wow, really? :o
Where's the discussion on that?

It's a tweet from him. They are modeling a unit sent by Muhlenburg College.

Thank you for bringing that to my attention! I love its sound and am surprised by how light it is on my CPU! IterativeSineCluster is another great one by him!

You can add Sampleson Akoustic to the list, nice little additive synth :)
