Apple: Logic Pro X is great
IK Multimedia: because Amplitube is my main guitar plugin and I like it
FabFilter: once I completed FF's Total Bundle I finished to purchase any additional plugins

Also five for me, 2 DAWs:
Bitwig, creative DAW for the 21st century
Cockos, Reaper as a workhorse
Valhalla, great creative effects, steady updates
U-he, great Synths, updates, good investment
Hofa, small team, developed for pro studio, just look at IQ Reverb 2, updates, good investment

Just give the stuff a try. I can only say I always come back to their solutions to get work finished.DCrown wrote: Tue Sep 06, 2022 2:58 pmHofa, well, pro???ralfrobert wrote: Tue Sep 06, 2022 1:42 pm Also five for me, 2 DAWs:

And in my opinion, plugin design is no YouTube Shakespeare contest. Wytse, really? He is certainly not the worst, but has a clear emphasis on entertainment.

Scuffham amps. I bought into that when it was 69€ or something, and there were many significant free upgrades, and paid ones were minimal. The native M1 upgrade was also free.
U-he. Just like Hive, and their attitude.
XLN Audio. I've had ADD and ADK for years. Their online updating scheme has never bothered me, and they did the M1 update for free. No fuss, no muss, no 2 year wait.

Valhalla DSP - brilliant developer, really good plugins at a really great price and a couple of killer free plugins. Pretty frequent and significant updates. Great blog/social media presence too.
Plogue - I love the devotion to detail in their emulations.
Wavesfactory - I am a big fan of Cassette, Spectre and EchoCat.
Lots of respect for other developers too: u-he, Arturia, Madrona, Noise Engineering, Voxengo, AudioThing, Unfiltered Audio, and Jam Origin come to mind immediately.
(And Bitwig!)

Off the top of my head:
Fabfilter, Soundtoys, and Valhalla, simply because I use at least one (typically many) of their plugins in every.single.project.

Nope, you cheated. That belongs in the "Top 3 of your fav AU devs" thread

- FabFilter (But Sonible is getting close or even ahead)
- Goodhertz (Sounds great and nice to use)
- u-he (Great quality stuff!)
Maybe tomorrow I would choose these instead:
UVI (because Falcon is insanely deep)
Valhalla DSP (awesome plugins with good price)
PSP Audioware (classic, great quality and somewhat underrated)

Ok...ok...real answer:

Honorable mentions to Kush, Universal Audio, Audio Thing, Audiority. Probably leaving some out.
