i really like it... i just need it to work
Can’t you simply revert to the previous version with your timemachnie?

i reinstalled the previous version, rebooted, and... did not validate. anyway, if the company is active, they need to respond to support requests... sonalksis (sienda) didn't.

i reinstalled the previous version, rebooted, and... did not validate. i think there are support files, or something in the sonalksis plugin manager, that expects the newer version (this is, to be fair, just a theory).

Superior Drummer 2+ uses Sonalksis effects for the mixer. Maybe Toontrack bought them out years ago.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

fisherKing wrote: Mon Sep 19, 2022 2:38 pm i've been using sonalksis's 'creative filter' plugin for years, and happy with it.

then i updated (to 3.2.0), and now it won't validate in logic pro. i emailed the developer... and am waiting for help.

anyone else have an issue? or is there a similar plugin to try? just need to do simple filter sweeps sometimes (not often!) but often enough :D
edit: oh sorry. i thought you meant it wouldn't authorize.. "validate" in logic is of course a very different thing.

anyway.. the compressor works fine here. on M1 and Monterey.

3rd party AU plugins not validating in Logic is a common problem. Not that most don't validate, just that there are more instances of an AU not validating in Logic than, say, in Reaper or perhaps other DAWs. Sometimes the company can fix it and sometimes they can't or won't. It's just one think to keep and mind and accept about using Logic. I have found that the more 3rd party plugins I use the worse it gets. For me, with many(!) 3rd party plugins, Logic got to a point where it was unuable to me. So I switched to Reaper and it's been fine. If you use a small number of 3rd party plugins you might only run into this problem from time to time, but its up to the dev if they can or will fix it because Apple won't fix this aspect of Logic. YMMV

i really haven't faced a lot of issues with this, and have used logic since 2009. 98% of the plugins i use are 3rd-party. so this is an unusual issue for me (and i'm on the ventura betas as well).

we all have different experiences, stories to tell, successes (or not) with the DAWs, plugins, hardware we use. so yes, YMMV

And 'have you tried REAPER?' is always a valid question.

(AUs fine here in Logic but no Sonalkis. They're Silicon native?)
I lost my heart in Cap de Creus

no need, am happy (and familiar) with logic, and all my projects are in logic. am on an intel mac, so the silicon thing isn't relevant here.

either way, i have moved on. i can literally get the same sound with logic's autofilter (which also has lots of other options). so.. all is well...

I played with it ‘till the wee hours last night. It’s a LOT of fun on a synth.

rift feedback lite is interesting, but is an entirely different thing (still, will play with it some more)...
