Sorry, but that seems like a cop-out. You’re the one who volunteered your opinion. So you must have some specific features in mind that you want to share. What are they?Danilo Villanova wrote: Thu Nov 03, 2022 10:55 amIt means you need to reas the features and come to your own conclusion like I did.

Cubase 12.0.50 finally fixed that bloodclot issue I was having with getting my Impact LX88's faders to work properly. Now, I can tweak VST parameters to my heart's content.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.

Do you expect them do more releases like this or is another version of Cubase on the way? Not sure their release cycle.Boy Wonder wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 1:21 am Cubase 12.0.50 finally fixed that bloodclot issue I was having with getting my Impact LX88's faders to work properly. From what I just read over on the Cubase forum, Steinberg might stop at 12.0.50 then move on to a 12.5 release.wuworld wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 2:00 amDo you expect them do more releases like this or is another version of Cubase on the way? Currently testing S1 and the reason for that is that Steinberg wants to drop vst2 support. OFC I don't know what Presonus plans but I was motivated to check it out anyways.
S1 and Cubase 12 seem to be quite similar. The plugin delay compensation works exactly the same (and doesn't work when playing 2 DIFFERENT instruments in real time unlike Bitwig which can do this!) and the CPU consumption is very similar. Both have "lookahead rendering" when you play back midi tracks. In Cubase it's called Asio Guard.
So far I have not found anything sensational that stands out for me in S1 or Cubase. At one point I thought that they should just shut down one company and DAW and both work on one together. (with vst2 support)

I think they're both way better than each other.
Apart from the other one, which is just as good.

I didn't even know .0.50 was out. I'll have to go d/l it, hopefully will sort out my loss of MIDI for some obscure reason I can't find. Thnx for the heads up.Boy Wonder wrote: Fri Nov 04, 2022 1:21 am Cubase 12.0.50 finally fixed that bloodclot issue I was having with getting my Impact LX88's faders to work properly. Both have 10 times more krap in them than I will ever need so for me it comes down to workflow and I think Studio One definitely has the edge. It's GUI is simpler, or can be made simpler, and the workflow feels more natural to me. Ultimately, though, they are really just two sides of the same coin and I can get work done to the same standard in either/both.wuworld wrote: Sat Oct 22, 2022 9:19 pmIt's going to be asked later. Been using both as of late. What do you guys think the pro's, and con's for both is? Which DAW do you prefer working in (if you have both)? This is just a topic for discussion.
If I'm honest, I don't really see it as a discussion worth having. My bandmate prefers Cubase, mostly because he does a lot of collabooration with other people, and I'm happy to take his ideas into Cubase and work on them there. But I always do my own work in S1 and I'll eventually move his stuff across to S1, too, so we can play them live. He's the same, he's perfectly happy to work on stuff I send him in S1 but he does his own stuff in Cubase. Neither of us see any point in standardising, we each use what works for us.

Studio One have Multi Instrument Tracks and a Better Arpeggiator and is great if you use Vst's.
Cubase is great If you use a lot of HW Synths and specially if they are multitimbral with only stereo out since it has true midi Channels that sends out Midi CC-7 (Volume) and acts like a Mixer.
If you are using Softsynths and everything else in your Mac/PC then Studio One win.
If you use outboard Gear like Instruments and Effects then Cubase Win.
Both are great in their own way
