Not familiar with making trance, but in general, you might as well pick up the Valhalla freebies, the Tokyo Dawn non-GE plugins, definitely Vital (very Serum-like) as mentioned, maybe OTT? .. and a transient shaper might help, like Kilohearts’?
Are you set up for drums already?

According to BPB, clicking "Activate" automatically downloads the license file. Not tried it myself because I have a license already.astralprojection wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 10:35 am But when downloading the plugin you dont get a license file. Or ?

It's nice although it's old.
Or is it nice because it's old? Dunno.
It's a bit on the "thin" side, sonically, but, it has character, which is a big plus for me.

yeah it is old but ive come to appreciate the old vsts these days. Sylenth1 sounds thicc as heck for example. And those old digital synths like nord lead 1 and 2, and even jp8000 has a nice character, even if they arent that transparent. its like old vsts even has vintage value these days lol. For example Z3ta 2 also has a nice touch that you really dont find with modern vsts. Not to mention the old Alchemy.

The free CM plugins should alone be a great starting point. They can be downloaded by the links on this thread:

After following this thread I tried Vital...very good! Dunno how I missed that...just not that much into sw synths, I suppose. First impressions were it has a shitload of features, a lot of which don't actually do that much (overcomplicated IMO). I played around for a few hours just to find most of what I did was fiddling around just because the knobs are there but not useful, but I know after I learn it properly I'll probably appreciate the ability for fine detail and deep tweaking. BUT...used it in a current track immediately because it sounds good, has bags of character and sits in a mix really well. Not many VSTis impress me much but I like it enough already that I'll probably pay for the commercial version. Good recommendation people
. Was expecting to dislike it, but love it.
Tried that V Station while I was at it...deleted already. Tiny GUI, dicking around with license for a freebie, not wasting time learning how to edit sw to make the skin bigger. Meh.
