And again I have absolutely no idea what this new sample player thing is all about and why it makes such a difference (I mean it already plays sounds which have to be samples already in a way.....) but simply hoping for that BIG randomn button again so that I can experience what it DOES as with all of the other great stuff Wotja had offered before

When you try out the Sample Player and some of the included templates/samples etc. then that is when you will know why it is a big deal . And, of course, there is a lot more, too, including UI/usability improvements. Yes, there are still "Flows" and Dice buttons - just a lot more power and capability besides. Try out the free variant first if you wish!

For every OS platform (Windows, Apple, Android) our EB1 price for 'Wotja 23 Pro' is available for the first 2 weeks of the year.

As Apple ALSO supports pre-ordering (even though the App is still not available until Jan 1st), we are able to start running EB1 for Apple users once Apple have approved the apps (and it is never a given as to when that is). IF Microsoft supported pre-ordering we would of course do the same there!

So first 2 weeks of January 2023 is the best time to get it ?

There is a video coming quite soon, that talks around how to use the Sample Player... something to look forward to; the video was created by Mark Harrop, and therefore is very clear and informative.

Wotja 23 will "Go Live" on 1st January 2023!

Here’s a taste of what’s in store.

This is the new sample player doing some of its things

It’s using a single sample of John Cage reading from his journal. The sample is about 20 seconds total.

There are several instances of the sample player working here. They loop but they aren’t synchronised so we’re jumping in and out of the sample at random. I’ll explain this in more detail in a later video.

The melodic elements are also using some of the new filter models introduced in v 23

V 23 is taking the sonic world of Wotja to places it’s never been possible to go before.

It’s been an absolute blast working on this. Can’t wait to hear what happens next.

Hope you could find someone from the youtube community to make a "how to make your first ambient song with wotja 23 in 10 steps and 10 minutes".......

Lately a step sequencer that on first view looks as puzzling for me as Wotja (of course Wotja is much more complex then a step sequencer but thats not the matter) simply sold to me via two different guys making ambient songs in short videos with it (a step sequencer.....) and after it I simply knew its for me and what I could do with it. 20 minutes (2x10).

For Wotja 23 I was looking in the usual places, whats new, tutorials (all for w 22.....).....as complex as ever, getting lost somewhere.....the w23 play me, yes, shows something....

But I wanted to create some simple new randomn mixes, albums based on the W 23 new stuff, the start with it is as complicated as ever.

And as its the time of the year: "Yes, same (complicated) procedure as evry year (with evry new version).....

You dont have to sell it to me, I will buy any new version anyway (and have bought this already), and I will sigh and find a way to at least make something out of it.....but this could be so much more and easiser I am sure. I dont need the details, just the "getting into" like with the sequencer I mentioned....

Again there has been so much going on in the engine/under the hood and so little to be seen (and been shown !!!) on the surface.

One 2 minute video one time a year for evry new version on your channel ? Sorry, that is not enough and the really improved help and evrything over the years just dont grabs if you dont get the start, not get into it.
