On the Youtube audio demos Magma Tube Channel Strip sounds like it dulls high frequencies. Sounds like mixes lose a little bit of brilliance when you put it on every channel.

They often still sound great, which is the most important thing;
Most important after how it looks, which is GREAT!

Um, what? The taste is at least as important as the looks. Everyone knows this

That's a fair point. No need to use the same channel strip on every track.

I think somebody mentioned it being in the Mercury bundle. I bought Mercury at the end of V9 and used it for a long time almost exclusively, updated to V14 during BF last year and still haven't gotten around to checking what's new. I almost feel like Waves is the Woody to Sonible/FF/Oeksound/etc's Buzz Lightyear for me.

"Inaudible aliasing doesn't matter" is a reasonable take. (But consider adding ultrasonic filters if running at 96k so it doesn't build up over a plugin chain.)
Absolutely. You can also turn down the high frequencies before going into the distortion and boast them to tase after the fact.
"Massive aliasing is a useful source of noise" makes sense in e.g. DX-style synthesis.

"Audible aliasing is nice like transistor distortion" is a new one, I think. Do you have any examples?
What I meant by this is it can be like harsh like hard clipping transistor style distortion, harsher perhaps. What I was trying to suggest here is it could be a useful alternative if you want to switch things up and experiment sonically. In small amounts it could ad. little bit of edge or bite, like hard clipping distortion.

Aliasing distortion is starting to be utilised in games, films & TV especially if they have a technological based theme. I wouldn't be surprised if this has been explored by those doing low-fi or industrial style music. In terms of examples I can't think of anything specific, unfortunately.

I love the layout and features. Any other developers have something very similar in simple features? I refuse to support waves anymore, but this is the simplicity I’ve been craving!

Of course they've thrown a component of this in with their new Magma Spring Reverb. I was uncertain with that decision initially but it makes a really nice improvement.
