Presonus Quantum 2626 "zero latency" audio interface

Hi I'm thinking about getting a Mac Studio and Quantum2626..

Will I be able to run Pianoteq (or other standalone software) for instance without having to run it from a DAW??

I don't see any reason why not...Pianoteq works stand-alone, there is a MacOs version.

The audio system on MacOs (CoreAudio) is simple, robust, and just works. It's nothing like the jungle of different driver protocols on Windows (MME, WDM, ASIO, WASAPI) all having different buffering techniques resulting in different latencies.
Any application on MacOs connects to CoreAudio, so the stand-alone version of Pianoteq has the exact same latency as a DAW.

the whole point here is:
you chose your audio Interface *within* the apps you want to use. ie. any audio interface that works on your mac will work with Pianoteq or any other audio app. Just a thing of you to select it in the audio driver settings of any of your apps.
I run Q2626 on a M2mac, and i use Pianoteq, btw.
