My suggestion for Waves is that they go fornicate themselves.

My suggestion?
Free updates for every Waves single plugin - that every single person bought/payed for/owns - to V15 when it comes around.
I'd be happy even if it was just the one time free WUP. Just to help get rid of the bad feelings and bad taste from their unbelievably screw-up

My advice would be to have all of their customer relations handled with the same level of professionalism that they have in their support staff. I've ended up on the phone with waves lots of times and the people there are awesome! Miles better than any other large software company especially a specialist audio software company (with the exception of some of the smaller 1 or 2 man/woman/ etc. companies). These few interactions and the accompanying actions (custom builds walkthroughs of registry edits) if the support staff have made the difference between me dropping waves years ago and my current, slightly reluctant, decision to continue using them until the next big ruckus.

Get rid of this Waves Local Server thing that wants to run at startup:Hewitt Huntwork wrote: Sat Apr 01, 2023 4:47 pm What would it take to make you do business with Waves ?
Get rid of WaveShell.dll and make your plugins like 99.9% of other developers do.
You can keep Waves Central but not if it needs crap to run at startup. If not then just give us individual installers.
But most of all start making plugins that impress me enough to buy them and put up with all the other blubber.
I've only got some of their freebies installed on this system but quite frankly they're unimpressive and nothing I would clog my studio system with. Industry standard....20+ years ago perhaps.
Since none of that is likely to ever happen and given their recent fiasco that could have been avoided by simply being proactive instead of reactive the chances I'll ever do business with Waves are as near to zero as the Planke Time is to now.
