minority perhaps, but you are correct.
as i often say, polyphony is a fad.

I beg to differ. My last completed project (mixed) uses chords in a way that I really don't hear much and I have not ever done before- vary proud of how it turned out, but it has to be mastered by someone who knows ambient so I'll let someone else hear it and decide.kritikon wrote: Wed Jul 12, 2023 9:28 pm Playing keys should be like typing. Either way a poly should always have a 'unison' button anyway.

Well, it's interesting to me because I have a Prophet 6 that I'm not eager to get rid of due to it's 6iness, but a Moog flavored poly... I'm listening.

Accurate.
The Pro-800 looked pretty cool to me, but the Polysource is starting to interest me a bit more, I think. Not that I have any more real estate or inputs for it, but I might find a way to make it work.

Looking forward to 6-10 years of hype before we are almost thereegbert101 wrote: Wed Oct 11, 2023 5:46 pm Rumours of a possible Memory Moog clone:
Guess we can wait around for a few years...
They have only thrown out the idea of the Memory Moog but has made no promise of ever creating it.
From Behringer:
"Just to be clear, we’re not promising to make this synth, but since one of our synth engineering teams is finishing up a product, there is an opportunity to select the next project. "

Pointless to consider when UB-Xa still hasn't been released. A Polysource, OTOH, is something they could probably do fairly quickly. I assume the main thing slowing it down is they don't want to impact Pro-800 sales.
