Hahaha, five seconds in I hear that Pankala patch and wanted to grab a Nintendo 64 controller and play some Mario. Thanks for sharing.vulpes777 wrote: Wed Jul 26, 2023 1:37 pm (possibly my favorite demo channel, make sure to turn the subtitles on)

Thank You. Will definitely check it out and make my decision. I actually quite like old skool sounds and the way older music was written/produced. Some of the modern music is just awful (sorry, no hate to anyone).vulpes777 wrote: Wed Jul 26, 2023 1:37 pmThen I suggest looking up one of the gazillion "famous sounds" demos. As far as "bread and butter" goes, there's a lot of it (actually much more, if you take the expansions into consideration), IF you're looking for those specific late 80s rompler sounds - otherwise by today's standards it might be kind of limited and/or dated (then again, often in a "so bad it's still good" kind of way).musicproducerdee wrote: Wed Jul 26, 2023 12:50 pmI don't really have any experience with the hardware. My thought was that it will provide me with basic bread & butter sounds for music production out of the box, without sound designing, like I usually do with synths like Serum, Massive etc. So I could basically focus on writing music, instead of designing sounds. Basically like picking up a Guitar and playing it. Sitting in front of a piano and playing it. Loading Korg M1 on my DAW and writing/composing music.vulpes777 wrote: Wed Jul 26, 2023 12:32 pmIf you love the original hardware, $49 will get you the M1/M1EX experience, plus all the expansion cards, PLUS the expansions from the T Series AND it can import sysex.
So I dare to say it's a definite YES
(and also, it's a textbook example of "doing it right", I'm looking at you, Roland...)
Anyway, here's an example of what to expect from the M1 sound-wise:

I almost bought the bundle today, $150, but all I really want is the Triton, but not for that much.

The same. I do not want licenses I already have and can not even transfer them... and having two licences of the same instruments are a bit pointless.Aiynzahev wrote: Thu Jul 27, 2023 11:08 pm I almost bought the bundle today, $150, but all I really want is the Triton, but not for that much.
