Apart from the stock convolution device, Reaper doesn't have a good algorithmic reverb, so maybe that would be a decent investment. There are too many choices in the reverb world, so I'm not going to recommend one : )
If you prefer to save your money until you know what you want to buy, install Reapack, then have a look at Saike's JSFX there's a ton of creative stuff there. (see also Geraint, Kawa, Tukan Studios... it's a long list, see the Repos link on Reapack).

IKM Amplitube 5 CS is free (and also a gateway drug...), or NI Guitar Rig 6 Player.
