Kush are among the best sounding plugins - but you have to like and want their vibe. They aren’t neutral sounding.
My favorites (I’ve tried all but didn’t buy all) are TWK, Novatron, AR-1, and Blyss.

I've never thought they were anything special. Also they use iLok, and last time I tried their plugins, they didn't properly scale on high dpi displays. It has been a while though.

Only sub I have and first plugin folder I go into to look for ideas. I love these plugins.

I tried some plugins, I like the LG Drive. For some reason, the Omega transformers seem to cut any sound output whenever I load them, this happens with all 4 omega plugins, no idea why!

Ditto on TWK, Novatron and Blyss.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat Aug 19, 2023 1:58 pm I do testing for them, so I may be a bit biased in that regard (or perhaps just extra well informed), but I LOVE the Kush plugins. They have great vibe and character. These are plugins that saturate and distort beautifully - except for the cleaner ones like Clariphonic for example. My personal favorites are: Omega TWK (use this as a soft clipper), Silika, AR-1, Novatron (wildly versatile but very easy to use), Blyss and Axis (note: this is one dark EQ with a HF roll off by default but it works great when you want to darken things up and the saturation sounds awesome). One of my absolute favorite developers.
I own some of them, I subscribe to Kush when I have a mix to do. Usually for a month or two. Clariphonic is great as well.

They're (slowly) moving away from it, I think.

Silika is amazing, Axis is pretty cool too although I mainly use PSP E27 if I want characterful EQ these days.

Blyss, Omega TWK & 458a - I dont think they'll ever leave our tunes.

Yeah, 458a is good too. I like in particular what it does on kicks. There's a bit of softening of the attack or something that makes the kicks sound a bit "pillowy." When I need that, it's a great thing.legendCNCD wrote: Sun Aug 20, 2023 2:07 pm Blyss, Omega TWK & 458a - I dont think they'll ever leave our tunes.

can someone help me out here, please?
demoing kush omegas twk and 458a, which are 19 USD only ATM. i like both very much.
Thing is, on my M1 Macbook Pro the CPU seems to be much higher with the 458, around 15% hit while running it over a simple audio loop. TWK is much more restrained, averaging 5-6%. These are the M1 betas, with iLok. Running on Ableton Live11.´
Can anyone confirm that 458a uses more CPU than TWK?
Thanks,
Miguel.

On my machine I'm seeing the opposite. It's TWK using twice the CPU of 458a. I reported an issue to Kush via the beta report form.Download SOphist wrote: Mon Sep 04, 2023 7:08 pm can someone help me out here, please?
