Like their OB-E, I find this rather disappointing. Sounds nowhere as fat as the original in the sound demos I've heard from it. I'd even go as far as to say that it sounds like the typical soft synth sounded 10 to 15 years ago.
Sorry, don't want to bash Gforce, it's nice that they also decided to model this great synths, but... it sounds rather mediocre to me. Not impressed.

It says £39.99 for me when i am logged in but when i add it to the basket the price goes up to 54.99 even with zero vat.
Not sure if i really need another OB Emulation since i already have the Sem, OP X Pro-2, Obsession, Arturia OP-XA V and the OB Xtreme.

You of course can hear it differently.
I was one of the lucky ones who got a chance to beta test it and have it testing for, I don't know maybe four or more weeks. I have been on record saying the OB series (the OB-8 specifically to be honest) was my all time favourite hardware vintage analog synth, which I spent lots of time with, so when someone sends me an Oberheim OB clone to test, I get very critical.
So in these past weeks I spent a lot of time programming some of the sounds I know and loved from back in the day.
Also just tuesday this week I went into a sam ash and spent two hours plus (with my headphones) with the OB-X8, especially in the OB-X mode, reprogramming some of the sounds I had done in the OB-X software. I think they did a fantastic job and whilst I clearly couldn't directly a/b them whilst in the store, I think they nailed it.
ymmv.

For me too. It's a little irritating. Maybe they should send people to the login page first or the page with the regular price and then tell them to login or something.D-Fusion wrote: Thu Oct 12, 2023 10:36 am It says £39.99 for me when i am logged in but when i add it to the basket the price goes up to 54.99 even with zero vat.

While I do like Gforce, I still think SonicProjects' OP-X PRO-II is the better option for this emulation. In terms of sound, anyway. This Gforce one may have some better / additional features.
Until forever fades away.

Something is clearly broken in the online shop.

Sounds great to me, and I finally get that Jump preset (ok joking). Whether it's a faithful reproduction I don't know, but it sounds like it to my ears.

I agree.mi-os wrote: Thu Oct 12, 2023 11:48 am Still better than 99.99.. LOL
Maybe remove and add it again. On my end it's working correctly it seems.
I was Amazed in a weird way When i saw 94.99 on checkout for a brief moment
Accidents can happen and for a moment i felt like i was in the Audience of a Oprah Show where she says, you get a car and you get a car and you naah and the next one get a car. Lol

I don't know which one sounds more authentic since I've never played an OB-X in person but it's a testament to how great OP-X Pro-II is that it's still holding its own in 2023. I can't even remember when it came out, but I'm pretty sure it was before Diva. Even their website looks like something designed 20 years ago... But the plugin itself is still among the best (as long as you can look past the clunky GUI).Choikdoi wrote: Thu Oct 12, 2023 11:03 am While I do like Gforce, I still think SonicProjects' OP-X PRO-II is the better option for this emulation. Take a single oscillator, producing a drone. Send it to the wave shaper, altering the tone.
This can be a triangle, Sawtooth or a square. Modulate the pulse width, nobody will care
