Some of the free Kilohearts FX are just great. I find myself using the basic stuff like compressor and trance gate a lot. The resonator is also interesting for psychedelic weirdness. Formant filter is fun too. I have Phase Plant/Snapheap/Multipass where these FX really shine. Can do some really wild stuff.

My favourite freebie is TAL Noisemaker. Really sounds great, simple to use but relatively deep. FM sounds wonderful. I would actually pay for this.

Also enjoying Audio Modern Gatelab.

I'm going minimal for giggles. I currently find myself absolutely unable to do without the Valhalla effects, but otherwise I can make do with stock plugins or instrument effects. I do have two effects pedals so I guess I could throw away the valhalla stuff if I absolutely must. I just love cutting out all the plugins I don't need.
