I think I'd probably be so happy having one of those but I can't justify the price based on my money situation. That was the first brand I wanted to check out. The babyface would be the one but it's quite a bit more than I can spend, especially the model that has DC coupling.
I need a new audio interface with DC coupled outs and looking for advice...

I'm on Mac so don't think I can use that version. Unless I misunderstand.legendCNCD wrote: Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:56 amWell I opted for the PCIe version, its 100€ less than the externalkillmaster wrote: Thu Dec 07, 2023 11:38 amI think I'd probably be so happy having one of those but I can't justify the price based on my money situation. With eurorack stuff you might want/need more than two of those DC coupled outputs
So how many?
So how many?

I need a limited amount cause I'll only be using my 0-Coast or Lyra-8 and Touche with it. One or 2 at a time maximum. Do I need 1 output for note and another one for gate?BertKoor wrote: Thu Dec 07, 2023 3:07 pm With eurorack stuff you might want/need more than two of those DC coupled outputs

Sorry, but in the year 2023 that's one of the worst suggestions possible, considering what the competition offers. On the outside it's a tank and I love it for that; unfortunately, its performance is sub-mediocre in every aspect. And I own two of 'em...rod_zero wrote: Wed Dec 06, 2023 11:25 pm If windows neither of those, in that budget Steinberg UR22

Yes. So if you have an interface with just two outputs (one stereo pair) and you want to use those to act as CV/Gate, you then have no other outputs left to hear what else the DAW is playing. So you'd need an interface with at least four (mono) outputs to benefit from DC-coupled outputs.
I personally think you're better off with a proper MIDI -> CV/Gate converter, eg the Doepfer A-190-2. You then get multiple control voltages, so it's not limited to the mundane pitch & trigger controls, but it opens other modulation possibilities.
