Logic is $299
Cubase is $899
Logic upgrades over past 10 years cost $0 - zero dollars
Cubase upgrades over past 10 years were $99 every year - that is on top of original purchase price
I let you be the judge… 😉
899 dollars really?

580 dollars from Splice rent to own for example.

AUS Dollars but, that’s irrelevant
Add upgrade cost each and every year…
That’s $1000 on top in anyone’s language 😉
Logic Pro upgrade over the same time is 0 $ = ZERO DOLLARS

Why does everyone always leave out the fact that Logic is tied to a rather expensive hardware dongle?

"Logic upgrades cost us nothing".. Until Apple revs it and decides it only works on OS's that modern Mac's support and you've gotta go buy a whole new MacBook/Mac mini/iMac just to update it.

Don't get me wrong, been a Logic owner since Platinum 4 (and Cubase since VST24), still own it. But Logic aint always 'free', and Cubase can always be thrown on an older PC you might have laying around. I think the last time I opened Logic Pro was when I installed Cubase 11 heh.

Oh well, OP already got himself banned anyways.

That’s the best thing about Mac - people that design and make hardware, are people that create software…. But I still prefer Steinberg Cubase

There was a time I thought the same. But I soon realized I quite disliked Logic. My DAW of choice was Bitwig, but it was bugged on MacOS and still is... You can tell an app is made for Windows and only ported to cater other OSystems. By the way window management is handled (close buttons on the right[FL Studio])to the lack of proper menu items...
The only true proper Mac DAW is either Logic or Live. Everything else is just a compromise

You don't find it offensive that the OP is willing to spend 800 dollars on a program that does nothing more than what Reaper can do for 60 bucks?
I for one am offended. The OP deserves to be banned.

Propbably ripped somebody off in the Sell & Buy forum. This smelled hard like "alibi post to make the account look more legit".

Just took a look: He had at least one thread in the Sell & Buy forum, which obviously was deleted, so, I was probably right that he tried to rip somebody off.

Obvs Logic is too cheap to be any good then.

Post

Cubase is better as it has a dongle and frequent paid-for updates, gives a more hardware-like, professional sound
I lost my heart in Cap de Creus
