This video is a deep dive explaining why that is:

What you write is not what this video shows.

Do you have anything that support what you write? Cause it isn't in my experience, even with high eq boost, when matching curves there is no superiority.

Also theoretically speaking eq being linear processors, means the amount makes no difference

The video DOES show what I say. Eq's sound different even after matching curves. Sampled eq's sound different than algo eq's because of phase, curves, saturation, preamp emulation, filter type, etc. All of this is explained in detailed in the video, especially towards the end. If you didn't watch the whole thing, I will ask you to go do it.

And how am I supposed to proof that certain eq's sound subjectively (that's the word I used) better than others? Just me saying it is the proof!

My apologies i misread "subjectively".

If we talk about saturation and preamp we are talking about things unrelated to eq. Sure some comes with pre's but this is not part of this topic, my focus is about eqing, so linear processing.

Eq sounds different, yes it's possible because of different phase response, can this difference being perceived? Not always (depends on sounds and how you eq it) but even then this doesn't automatically mean better or worse, just different.
