There are three buffer settings:Ah_Dziz wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2024 3:57 pm What's the processing latency? Or if it's variable what's the maximum processing latency?
Lowest buffer is 40.1 ms, middle is 80ms and highest 160ms. 48k in Ableton.
I find it a really well calibrated plugin. It's very easy to make it sound good.
This is a huge deal for me. I find a lot of vocoders/synthetic vocal processors very finnicky to use.
There's always some kind of unsatisfactory sacrifice between intelligibility, tonality or smoothness.
The tuning algorithm is very robust. You can tweak it further if needed but the defaults are excellent.
Intelligibility is very good. Again you can tweak it in various ways but defaults are very solid.
The separation of the tuning/robotic section from the resynthesis section makes it very flexible.
You can have the more voice box/singing robot or the more classic vocoder sound and everything in between.
The two section do interact a little. One nice touch is that the note parameter in the synthesis section respects the scale selected in the tuning section so if you set it to an interval like a 3rd it will harmonise.
Another nice touch is the ability to import your own single cycle waveforms to use in the resynthesis section and the ability to tweak the odd and even harmonics in the synthesis waveform.
Filters are very useful and the effects section adds some nice flavour.
All in all a very rounded plugin with a clean interface and a good deal of tweakability if needed.
Impressive stuff all around.
