It would need a modulation matrix :)
It is the logical next step ...
I have already 1.5 years of code on this plugin.
I could code for many years more, but before,
i thought it was a good idea to have a sort of checkpoint to know,
how many people are really interested.

Sorry, but tbh you seem to be missing the point big time. Just because it has that number of parameters it doesn't mean you ever have to tweak more than the standard four for any given application.

But the point is:

a) you can, in order to adapt it to your requirements&taste if and when the desire to do so arises.

b) even if you NEVER touch any other parameters (besides ratio, threshold , attack, release)
all the flexibility and versality is still available in the form of presets.

It's - at least theoretically - basically a bit like having DMG TrackComp with an open bonnet.

I just wish it had a resizable GUI 😕

Okay. After some short demoing i'd say it's pretty promising. Can sound very close to existing software compressors. But i'm missing character of the more colorful compressors, have to play around more to see how these things can get closer.

Few remarks :
- I'm missing numerical readouts of the meters. This makes it very hard to set, or compare results.
- Standard controls (attack/release) always revert to lowest value when choosing presets. Is that a bug ?
- Many of its functions could be more clearly described. I guess this is a case of 'Lost in translation', as it also happens a lot in the video tutorials. But i understand that the dev is French, so hopefully these things will get resolved in time.

It obviously needs more work. But even without getting nerdy it's already a lot of fun. Think i'll buy it anyway, just for experimentation and going into extremes. After all, i managed to dig Compassion, Multiplicity and Unisum for the biggest parts, so how hard can it be to learn a few hundred more parameters :)

365 params?! Should be called ‘Incomprehende’

Post

For me, such complexity in a compressor isn't useful or desirable. Too much work for too little reward. I prefer something I can drop on a track, quickly adjust the main parameters, and move on. "But you can do that with this". But its USP is of no value to me, so.

What's the problem?
Only one parameter for each day.
Sound reasonable. :tu:
Helps to focus your effort

compiled an au version this morning !

So will this be getting a GUI builder at some point?
So along with a preset a custom GUI can be built that is a replica of the compressor being emulated and only offering that subset of controls for editing?
With that it would seem like this would be the ultimate compression tool.
Duh

Finally something simple to replace my dusty la2a
