When trying to install this synth, the anti-virus program that's built into Windows quarantined the installer, saying it's a "Trojan".

Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml
Alert level: Severe
Category: Trojan
Details: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

Can someone just share the .clap file itself so I can manually copy it to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\CLAP location? I don't need the standalone .exe.

I'll have it available here for a few days, https://nakst.itch.io/clap-betas

Great! Thanks, nakst. I’ll download it this evening after work.

I propose that people state their LUFS with their entries. And if yours is -3 when everyone else is -10 to -14 you may want to consider that you're going to hurt some ears.

I always include LUFS and DR for all my tracks.

If only the rest of the world followed your lead we'd have FTL travel and world peace long ago.

Following up on this... I was able to download the .clap file and it works perfectly in Windows 10 / Bitwig. Thanks again.

It's a very nice synth. I mean really. It has a super clean workflow. Kind of reminds me of old synthesizers from 70/80 era.
FXes with fixed settings is very interesting call. And loading time is incredibly fast.
I already succeeded in mocking something useful for this round up in two evenings... which never happened before.

Anyway, I noticed that sounds click sometimes. Strange that increasing attack times doesn't improve that. So it has to be something else. Did you experience that?

Hi all! New to KVR and OSC. Really looking forward to putting together a submission this month.
I was wondering, is there a Discord server where OSC folks often hang out? I'd like to get a bit more involved with the community.
Thanks!

Oscillator's retriggers are not enabled by default, most likely it is. Otherwise, the buffer size and other sound stuff, although it is an very effective synthesizer. Also, unison modes sometimes boost the attack volume.

Post

Thanks. Will check retriggers.
It's happening to a classic filtered saw arpeggio. I will include a sound sample and related preset in case I do not succeed with that.

Is this just a mistake by Windows (11) defender? I encountered the same issue when I extracted the files and almost had a heart attack from the virus warning.

Yes, if the virus name has "!ml" at the end, that means it's been detected as suspicious by "AI". So in other words, it's almost certainly a false positive :?

(Edit: added an opera singer. Now finished on 9/12. Sorry.) My submission:

Listen to There Will Be Poems (OSC 187 Extrabold) by Mauvecastle on #SoundCloud
https://soundcloud.com/anotherjaysherma ... al_sharing

KVR OSC 187 (Extrabold)
Reaper 6.83
38 instances of "Extrabold" by Nakst.

OTT, ReaLimit, Raum, OrilRiver, Valhalla SuperMassive, ReEQ, A1StereoControl, Replika, TDR Kotelnikov, TDR Nova, LoudMax.

LUFS-I = -11.2 LUFS-S = -8.9

I really liked the synth. Got plenty of good sounds. I wish all synths had ring mod and fm. I look forward to everyone's entries. I suspect it's going to be a really good round.

Submitting early as I'm feeling a bit music addicted. Need to work on other things (and it's a definitely finished track).
