You kinda sound like a crank when you post here so if you're carrying that vibe across to Cableguys support, I understand why they're ignoring you. Did you really think they'd waste time having a conversation comparing their product to another developers? Why would they?

So the support request was "I like the sound of this competing product more than yours; it has fewer artifacts?" So use the other product!
That why different products exist. That doesn't mean there's a bug. Just something you like better our there (on that particular source material at least). Didn't need a support email. Certainly didn't warrant a thread slagging the support experience.

I'm not sure it was even that: more "isn't this like Gross Beat?"Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Wed Sep 25, 2024 1:48 pm So the support request was "I like the sound of this competing product more than yours; it has fewer artifacts?" So use the other product!
To which the smart (and silent) response is: "Is this bait?"
No company on the planet is going to say "yeah we totally do the same thing as this other software" because lawyers.

You should tackle the big issue: GrossBeat vs. MRhythmizer.Caine123 wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2024 2:53 pmfirst they kinda always rejected how Gross Beat is similiar to Shaperbox/Halftime
The latter is an exact copy of Gross Beat.
Funny enough: it was the very first plugin of Melda. And today Image-Line (precisely: their owners) owns Melda.
What a crazy world.

Well as it happens, the curve based time manipulation used in Gross Beat, MRhythmizer, Shaperbox etc, is currently the most flexible and rewarding way we know for creating pitch stuttering effects.
Much like how the wheel is currently preferred for moving things from A to B.
Hey, why don't you send some emails to Audi, Mercedes etc... something needs to be done about this laziness!
