How do you cope with difficulty mixing?

NI announced discontinuation of support for for Maschine MK2 hardware so I'd no longer recommend finding a used one.

I'm on Linux which doesn't always work with Windows EXE's and MSI's and DLL's.

UPDATE: I started getting better results when I switched to better headphones. Also, I'm gonna try and clean up some of my mixes with better subgrouping and maybe even some dynamic EQ or multiband compression. My musical ideas are flowing again, so that's good.
