Sad news. CM was what showed me I had a way into electronic music. Hope I can find a way to download the issues I have bought from pocketmags.

man, oh man, it's such a shame to be losing such a resource.
online browsing is not the same as a nice curated source.
i wouldn't have ever gotten into music without store magazines.
i couldn't usually afford the advertised and reviews products, but i liked learning about them anyhow.
also i like how the writers had playful use of language and a sense of humor.

Joy. Now no more free loops unless you login to your Soundcloud and follow. I can't ever do this because Soundcloud won't let me login twice.

I've recently purchased CM #338 (print) and #339 (digital) in order to ensure I have access to the two most recent versions of their plug-in libraries. #339 was even on sale so got a real bargain there. I've no idea what this transition means for any future updates to their admirable plug-in suite.
I subscribed for several years about a decade ago and then dropped it when things were beginning to feel kind of repetitive (esp. since I'm more of a classic rock guy than an electronic music producer). But lots of great content, tutorials, and plug-ins made it a really valuable resource. CM also introduced me to Samplitude, which is one of my favorite DAWs (although Tracktion Waveform is my current beau). That magazine has left us a great legacy; I hope the digital content through Music Radar continues to be of comparable quality.
I hadn't known about content on SoundCloud; I'll have to check that out. Thanks @osiris.

You can twist perceptions, reality won't budge.

I've gone to several sites (some big) and in order to download free content it shoots you over to a page where you are supposed to login to your Soundcloud account and Follow that person. As I've said, I'm already logged into SC, so I'm just very suspicious of this. If it goes to SC, I'm already there. Just open it to SC and I can follow you.

CM and FM were the magazines that introduced me to computer music, back around 2000. I've kept every issue I ever bought (probably around 50 of them). Sad, but change is inevitable.
A well-behaved signature.
