Analyzing the pitches of a wind-gong accent with Melodyne, then rebuilding those pitches in a Synestia resonator. Detune modulation via LFO B via LFO A, shift root note with M1, add Dynamics/HF Damp modulation via MSEG A with M2, freq. shift with M4. Parallel LP filter/distortion can be added with M3, M5 controls reverb mix, reverb processes resonator and distortion so the distortion signal will be audible in the reverb even when M3 is closed.
Just released on patchpool: Tension for Synestia (by Rhizomatic)

Video demo for some dynamic Synestia patches (Kick Snapper + Kick Processor) from “Tension for Synestia“ - using a Battallion groove with freshly recorded pan-drum loops as audio input, video starts dry.

I made some more patches for an update of this set, one of them being another gong model:
https://soundcloud.com/sampleconstruct/gong-model-2
Demo starts dry (synth and the gong sample I used for re-modeling the resonator pitches), then the FX signal fades in.Analyzing the pitches of a rubbed gong sustain with Melodyne, then rebuilding those pitches in two resonators. FS modulation via MSEG1 can be dialed in with M2, shift root note with M1. Parallel distortion, flanger and reverb process those resonances, M3/4 control flanger/distortion dry amount (and distortion send into flanger/reverb).

That piece of music created some extremely vivid mental imagery of a science fiction movie. It’s a bit hypnotic with all of the interesting designed elements. Very cool! That’s great news that you’re working on an update.Sampleconstruct wrote: Tue Jul 15, 2025 11:50 am I made some more patches for an update of this set, one of them being another gong model:Demo starts dry (synth and the gong sample I used for re-modeling the resonator pitches), then the FX signal fades in.Analyzing the pitches of a rubbed gong sustain with Melodyne, then rebuilding those pitches in two resonators. Thanks. That demo does have a slightly dystopian scifi vibe to it, also because it's more on the atonal side, those gong frequencies are just so off the chromatic/diatonic track, really interesting.morphex wrote: Tue Jul 15, 2025 2:46 pmThat piece of music created some extremely vivid mental imagery of a science fiction movie. Processing layered piano, English horn and synth pad with the preset Himalaya Verb from the expansion Tension for Synestia - Synestia Macro automation and volume automation of the dry instrument levels. Rather trippy...
