I've been listening to the preset showcase for the third time, because I'm astonished at all the variety of wonderful sounds coming out of Skein. Beautiful! While Glitchmachines seems well-established as a producer of really strange, experimental sounds, I don't think its products get the full all-round respect they deserve. A lot of capability is packed into the designs. I don't usually gush about anything like this. I've definitely added this to my must-get list.

hard to judge something like this without, at least, a 'hands-on' session. still, will keep an eye on comments here, and reviews online. seems nice

I’m saving for hardware but I’m tempted to buy this. Keep posting more audio demos guys. I can’t decide without demos. It’s probably never going on sale.

I’ve picked up a few Glitchmachines products at a hefty discount via PB over the years. You might have to wait a min on this synth, but it will likely show up there eventually.

It’s a shame there is no demo available to try, which is maybe not the best marketing move, but to each company their own.

Has anyone noticed that all Glitchmachine products are now gone from Plugin Boutique? It's a strange thing to remove all these products without any announcement, even though Plugin Boutique is the only other site that sells them.

I hope its temporary I bought almost all their plugin from PB

Yep - PB no longer lists it as a brand it sells.

It is certainly a brave move if Glitchmachines intends to only sell from its own website and at hefty prices. I have Quandrant, Polygon and Palindrome 2 but only because of massive PB sale discounts. The three cost me about £15 (inc VAT) in total.

I will not be going anywhere near Skein at the current asking price.

Unfortunately it looks like it is permanent. In the comments for the Youtube "Overview" video for Skein (see the first post in this thread for link), someone has asked if it will go on sale. Someone else said that if you wait it will probably come down to 10 bucks soon. Glitchmachines replied "selling our plugins at 90% off is not a sustainable business practice and as of 2025 we are no longer participating in that. Going forward you will only be able to purchase our tools directly from our website."
(Scroll down the comments to the one that says "Looks insanely cool, but $90 is way above my budget. Will there be any sale (or crossgrade option) in the future?")

I hope this goes well for them, Ivo is a very good dude, the price for future users will be very different but we can all agree that 10 bucks for plugin is not very good for the plugin maker

i hope he will implement a way that you can register your plugins from Pluginboutique for future updates and upgrade options....
