Bargain! A lot of developers seem to be doing it tough at the moment. given some of the sales that are on.

Indeed. To me the industry is slowly imploding.BONES wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 4:22 am Bargain! A lot of developers seem to be doing it tough at the moment. given some of the sales that are on.
How many plugins once sold for $200 now go for $29?!
How many free plugins are appearing on a nearly daily basis?
Some great, some really bad. Both mostly because of platforms like JUCE.
I bet that companies with higher costs, eg Waves, IK, etc.. will struggle and abandon lower selling products, lay off staff or maybe go bust.
The Kodak or Blockbuster lessons will be repeated.
Still a great time to make music. That is not waste too much time looking at the endless new tools, rather use what we have and do something we enjoy with it.

I'm guessing a compressor, limiter, exciter, saturator and widener in one?

Maybe, who knows? What I know is that it makes my music sound betterer, the details of how it does it really don't interest me.

It's just a different type of economy now. There are way more users now than there say 10 years ago. So instead of selling $500 plugins to 10 users just to make 5k, they can now sell $50 plugins to 100 users and still make the $5000. So you don't have to be desperate all.BONES wrote: Sat Mar 01, 2025 4:22 am Bargain! A lot of developers seem to be doing it tough at the moment. given some of the sales that are on.
Getting their plugins into more people's hands is also good for them promotionally, providing everything works as advertised. Although, with this Trump Tariff business thing going on, some developers may actually become a bit desperate.
