Tone2 - Nemesis
You can be creative in any right place on Earth, and not only in the wealthiest cities. Bring the world feelings from everywhere, and not only feelings of capitalistic or jail environment.

Bazille. Just rocks. Can be intimidating as there is so much that needs to be learned to utilize it. Fantastic sounds, tons of character.
Surge. Seriously. Use some device to oversample it and see it shine. I do it with Reaper and/or Patchwork. And right after downloading it switch it to the dark skin. Just sayin.

Yes. It's good as it is, just that the UI is small in today's standards.korgscrew wrote: Fri Feb 14, 2025 1:11 pm Native Instruments FM8. Recently added this to my workflow and it sounds great. Some great presets on there, very smooth sounding.

Spectrasonics Omnisphere. Great synth, no demo, expensive and so doesn't get a lot of attention in Community. I love my copy of Omnisphere 2.5 keeps getting better, but not a lot of talk, tutorials, etc

Yep. Zero Hybrid still runs rings around just about every other FM synth in existence
CrimsonWarlock aka TechnoGremlin, Moved to Reason and Rack Extensions exclusively (from Reaper and VSTs) several years ago.

I second Omega, but another good and obscure FM synth (that is unfortunately Windows and Linux/WINE only) is Aurora FM. Then there is Opzilla, but that is abandoned. Rob Papen's Blue 3 has presets that remind me of Metroid Prime's soundtrack.

Avenger is pretty popular here but largely overlooked by music youtube and most other music communities. Strong contender for desert island synth for me.
Ableton's Operator gets a lot of attention from Live users, but I've really enjoyed Drift Lately. Meld is cool too.
UAD Opal sounds great. I think it's a shame that only a few hardwired modulation routings can be assigned without paging to the matrix, but for a synth with some questionable workflow choices it's pretty damn cool
