Good to know. I just need to figure out if its overkill for how many ports I need. Update....
Most of my components came in today. Unfortunately, the i9 Ultra I ordered from Amazon came in an "opened and seal broken" Intel box. I double checked my order on Amazon to confirm it was a legit store and it was Intel. Obviously it was some kind of return. The CPU looked okay and I could have taken a chance, but for the price I paid, it wasnt worth it.
Anyway, I did a return and ordered another one that should be here tomorrow. Hopefully this one will actually be new.

oh my, that sucks! From Amazon as well?
Yeah, the CPU was in there and it looked okay but I just didnt chance it. Just on principle alone, I am not paying full price for a CPU that, at best, is an open box.
I think I will record me opening this next one, just to have something to show Amazon (if they even give a crap) if I get another one in similar shape.

Yeah, Amazon. They don't check returns much I guess. They took the empty box back without anything special, for all I know it is still circulating

Second CPU had the seal broke as well. SMH. Looked at the CPU under high magnification and doesn't looked like it's been used but who knows.
Spoke to Amazon and they gave me the option to refund this one with the option of trying it and sending back within 30 days for refund.
So I took the chance. Booted up fine, everything seems legit. Will do an Intel IPDT test and maybe a stress test just to make sure

Yeah, may regret my decision. Thought I would update this thread....
So finished my build over the weekend. Went with Pictus component suggestions on most of it. I did go with a Noctua NH-D15 G2 instead of a water cooler. So far, even under stress, its running way below max temps, so good there. Other than that, went with a Super Flower Leadex VII XG 850W PSU, mostly because of price and reviews and also a Fractal Define 7 case.
One of the other things I did on this machine was go from using Win 10 to Win 11. I didnt want to "upgrade" but figured now would probably be the best time since I was going to have to do it eventually anyway. I bought Start All back software which basically let me customize windows to allow me to pull things from 7/10 that I like. Best 5 bucks I ever spent! Older software and drivers were fussy but was able to get it working in the end. Definitely some cursing involved. DId most of the tweaks Pictus listed. Those custom ISO builders along with the custom script that schneegans.de wrote are absolutely fantastic.
