I meant to buy this a couple of months ago but other priorities took over! I see an AI coded SST-206 has just been released and I'd much rather support your work so will be buying, but I have one request - please will you add the choice to have the original stepped options for pre-delay and decay times? I like to use emulations with the limitations of the hardware.

How do you know it's AI coded? I've been in contact with the dev because he's also planning on emulating the 323 & 626. He seems very dedicated to researching the original circuits in detail.

I have added stepped controls to the to-do list.

And thanks, I really appreciate it. That's my biggest gripe with Relab QuantX which is otherwise amazing - I want to be limited!

Thanks for sharing, that's really insightful :tu:

IMO the AI coded plugin doesn't sound anywhere near as good as this does. A bit expensive too.

~AI demo removed...

*I want to build this one from src, but there's no way I'm going to deal with installing MSVC just for that. WIll be picking this up :tu:

To clarify questions about AI usage: I use Large Language Models (LLMs) strictly as a coding assistant to help write and debug the C++/DSP code. This has become a standard workflow for most developers today.

The audio engine itself is based on standard algorithmic design; it does not use generative AI or neural networks to create or process sound.

Appreciate your response! I'll still be buying yours but will have to wait until my budget resets next month.

Sry but that post in the hackers forum looks like a poor thing to say from the point of view of non-programmers. Appreciate the explanation.
