Amplitube has some solid models (I like their SLO-100 almost as much as NeuralDSP's, etc) but all in all you cannot go wrong with NeuralDSP. Not cheap but really great stuff. For the bass players out there, it's the other company started by the founder of Darkglass, with roughy the same reputation for quality stuff.
One more advanced thing for metal guitar and bass (and any other sound processing, really) that I would not sleep on is Kilohearts MultiPass plus their free Essentials snapins. I was able to make something very much like NeuralDSP Parallax with it in about 5 minutes.

If you're looking for guitars, then here is - probably - the best: klick here.Nigrescence wrote: Thu Apr 03, 2025 3:01 am Any recommendations? I play in standard to drop C. I would ideally like for the plugin to be under or around a hundred dollars. Thanks for your 2 cents.
For that you need the sampler Sforzando: click this.
If you're looking for guitar amps, then I recommend these.
All these recommendations cost no money, but a little bit of time (download, installation).
