Hey everyone! We've just pushed an update for the free GUI version—go check it out and let us know what you think.
Next up, we’re shifting focus to finishing up the paid GUI version. If all goes smoothly, it should be ready for release next month. Stay tuned!
Release Notes:
1. Fixed the incorrect output level – it now matches the original hardware’s output more accurately.
2. Added stereo processing support.
3. Major performance improvements on Windows.
4. Improved Windows compatibility and resolved several crash issues.
5. Enhanced compatibility on Intel-based Macs (x86).
6. Reduced file size of the Windows VST3 build.

Hey what an awesome pricing model!
I really like your screamer plugin, it will find a permanent spot in my vst folder. I do plan on snagging the upgrade as soon as my funds are just a bit more balanced (even though the price is a no brainer). Great stuff.
I'm also looking forward to future releases from you.

Thanks for the love—but please hold off on paying for now. We’re about to roll out our He version modeling method, and we think it’s going to blow everyone away. We’ll also release a fuzz plugin built with the He version approach.Chicken Drummy wrote: Sat Aug 23, 2025 6:55 pm Hey what an awesome pricing model!

After that, this current plugin will be taken down, renamed to something more fitting, and re-launched with a skeuomorphic GUI plus an intro discount. Anyone who already paid will receive a full refund. After some learning and reflection, we believe offering an intro discount is the right move.

Why did you include 808 in the name? Most people associate that with the roland 808.
Also, might help to identify what kind of plugin it is in the OP, since not everybody knows what a 'screamer' refers to.
Lastly, I would put the links to the free version here directly, since not everyone has a patreon account and you want to make the process of trying out your work as easy as possible.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion—we’ll definitely take it into serious consideration and do our best to make things as user-friendly as possible.metamorphosis wrote: Sun Aug 24, 2025 9:49 am Why did you include 808 in the name? Most people associate that with the roland 808.

In the off chance you're not aware (non-guitarists would have no reason to be), the original Tube Screamer is known as the TS808. It had the words "Overdrive Pro TS-808" written on the face of it. Later models had different designations (TS9, TS10). Guitarists don't automatically associate 808 with a drum machine. And in fact, the TS808 Tube Screamer came out in 1979, one year BEFORE the TR-808 drum machine.metamorphosis wrote: Sun Aug 24, 2025 9:49 am Why did you include 808 in the name? So there's a brief history lesson on why 808 is perfectly appropriate for a Tube Screamer.
