Indeed. But I was looking for something with a compressor that could also handle the M/S stuff too (properly).
I think the 2 or 3 PA channel strips are about it. But I haven't really tested them fully to see if they mono-fy the signal properly either.

A lot of the PA plug ins have ‘mono-maker’ in the advanced settings
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

Hey, one other idea: Scheps Omni Channel (which is truly a fantastic channel strip if you are not blindly anti-Waves) has, among it's great saturation, filters, EQ, de-esser, gate/expander, compressor, and limiter, an additional slot to host any other VST within the plug-in (and use in presets, etc.). So you could conceivably put Imager in that slot and then have a single plug-in solution that handles everything, along with M/S capabilities.

Yeah, was going to say IK's Channel Strip X. It's actually pretty decent.

If you'd fancy a freeware solution, then I can recommend you CS-12 by Terry West. It's a Channel Strip with 3 band Mid/Side EQ and general Stereo Width settings. It's best for Individual channels and sub mixes / busses.

There's also another version of that plugin called CS12M dedicated as a Master channel strip, which has a specialized Bass Monoize function. You can choose the Crossover frequency at 100 or 200 Hz.

Both have many other options to dial in, e.g. Clipper, NY compressor, Low and high Exciter, a nice warm sounding Saturation and different EQs as well as some other stuff. It's really versatile, the quality is top for Freeware plugins IMO and I often use them in my mixes both for instrument and drum busses and alone just with another safety Limiter on the Mix Bus, because they are able to deal with dynamics in a nice way without squashing everything completely and also add a touch of colour and character in a way that lets many source audios shine more than before.
