Another winner from Mr. Bastan.

It's a very wide ranging plugin capable of all kinds of weird sounds but also pretty easy to rein in if you're looking for something more conventional.

It's most fun at its extreme creating all kinds of chaotic, weird and wonderful sounds.

kraster wrote: Tue Sep 02, 2025 9:21 am The Push 2 can't do true p-locking (discrete per step parameter values) but you can get pseudo parameter locking with the note sequencer in Push 2 which writes a value to the clip automation.
Thanks for clarifying. I never mastered it. ( sold my push2)
kraster wrote: Tue Sep 02, 2025 9:21 am There are m4l sequencers like Rozzer that allow per step parameters.
Checking on the quick, it seems it has only 2 CCs. Not enough.
I´ll open a own dedicated thread for "that stuff" ;)
Thanks for the input !

ok, so i missed nothing. I´d like to point out this:
It makes a big difference if one is totally at home with a certain plugin, or if we are in a early "learn it to know" stage. To me, Devs totally unerstimate that aspect.

Fully at home, one might use functions -like the potentials- with full awareness, set and donne.
At "learn to know" stage do we,....we HAVE to.....experiment. Check this out, and that, and some more. With such complex things like having several potentials in play, is it for my taste a requirement to check endless possibilities => just to get the hang out of it.

To give this "drag potentials" functionality some weight, would be in my opinion a good idea.
It would be of help to dive in with more speed.
Thanks for caring anyway !

You could add "Ableton Live only" to the headline.

That teaser made me drool. Sounds great. I am a connoiseur of aliasing and those heavy and growling sounds so lotsa good stuff in there.
But I am not a Live user.
Do I get this right about Max: It is not capable of BEING a VST plugin?
This kinda functionality is only available inside of Live?

The overall situation is a bit complicated. The situation for this particular synth is fairly straightforward, and Ive highlighted below.

Max is basically a visual programming language for all sorts of stuff, including audio and video stuff. Max4Live isnt quite the same as Max, its the version of Max that can run inside Live.
Max itself is not a plugin.

Devices built in Max can run within Max, or be built into a standalone application.
Devices built as Max4Live devices will run inside Live and Max.
Some devices built in Max in rather specific ways(*) can be compiled as VST3 plugins using a Max extension called RNBO.

Entanglement is a Max4Live device.

(* The 'specific way' means that it could range from being relatively easy for someone to adapt to be exportable as a VST, to almost impossible, depending on how it was built and which bits of Max it uses.)

Hope that helps some.

Yup all Dillon’s stuff requires live and m4L currently. Be sure to add a +1 for vst support, which he might look into one day. Something in there must be doable. :tu:

On that note, his stuff is some of the most fun that can be had with live.

Dillon is the reason for the unbelievers to migrate back to Ableton.

You could use it inside max standalone but the presets i made for the release wont work there but you could make your own as snapshots

Have you ever considered migrating yourself to VST/AU/CLAP?

I have Ableton so I get to use all of your devices but I really feel you deserve a wider audience.

Of course ive considered im asked it all the time haha. Ive had some in development but personal stuff keeps getting in the way and then i need to make $$ to pay the bills, m4l is a quicker turnaround. But yea I'd love to rework many of my isdeas into more robust VSTs working with a designer (I have a great designer I'm working with but havent finished VST yet)

Ask and you shall received, redownload the device to update it. It now has the ability to drag potentials around, pretty fun to do actually

Just a quick shoutout to Dillon B for excellent customer service - I had an issue (which was entirely my fault) and he was very quick to resolve it for me.
