Read on some forum the class compliant USB interfaces were faster RTL than the internal MPC soundcard. Why would class compliant USB soundcards still be unable to do 48Khz?

I'll have to give a class-compliant audio interface a try.
The onboard audio interface is ok... but nothing to get super excited about.
I'm used to running Thunderbolt where I can really push the boundaries of ultra low latency.
I'm probably dreaming, but it would be nice to see those latency figures cut in half.

Thank you Jim for the tests!! While the results aren't amazing, it's still a substantial improvement over the original MPC Live mk1. That is good news!
