There's no more free loop packs. Even the subscription quit giving them in February. It's part of their deal with Splice, and they're steering business that direction.I_Am_Become_KVR wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 9:05 pm I hope 7.3 has more free loops packs, an entire UI redesign focus on touchscreens and swiping, more synths added to subscription-only models, and more integration with the new app.
Presonus : "So we are targeting 3-4 "major" feature releases every year..."

Oh don't worry, they sent out an afterthought email about it today, a whole week too late.Crossinger wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 7:34 am and to add insult to injury: last week they completely borked the merger of Presonus and Fender accounts. I'm not sure anyone actually works at Presonus anymore. Gregor and Joe Gilder still put up videos like nothing happened and they didn't fully gaslight and BS their entire customer base.

I got really angry that they removed from their store all the addons and moved them under subscription plan. I wanted to buy the Alpine MixFX addon and another one for FatChannelXT. Only in bundle can be bought from JRRShop.
For me this was a red flag.
Not only to mention that for some reason Studio One has problems with syncing playback between tracks.
It's really frustrating....

I’ve absolutely no doubt the bean counters (not developers) at Fender have all the data they need to time the next major release just after the majority of subscriptions have expired.

Been using Studio One from v1.6, and if it weren't for the (IMO) superior workflow over all other DAW I would probably have switched and used any of my other DAWs after v6. I'm too VERY disappointed with their updates of late. C'mon, when the they see a new sampled instrument as one of the big "features", then they have run out of ideas.
I don't need, or use, many of their features, tbh, but nowadays I don't feel they are even trying to improve Studio One. I used to upgrade to every new version on day 1, but from now on I will do like I do with Bitwig, upgrade only when there are enough new and interesting features that my workflow or music creation would gain from. Like you should of course.
Studio One is also the DAW that crashes the most of all my DAWs on my Mac, which is quite disappointing as well.

And they didn't even send it to all users. I know of quite a few (me included) that didn't get this email.thievedletter wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 2:10 amOh don't worry, they sent out an afterthought email about it today, a whole week too late.Crossinger wrote: Wed Oct 15, 2025 7:34 am and to add insult to injury: last week they completely borked the merger of Presonus and Fender accounts. I got an email yesterday explaining the Fender/Presonus account merger with a log in box in the email. So I logged in using my old Presonus email and password and everything was normal. No sign of anything Fender. I have remained on version 6, so it seems its those who upgraded to version 7 who are having the problems.

But with this strategy they only get the "Presonus-tax payers" who renew their licenses no matter what.sQeetz wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 12:18 pmjonparadise wrote: Thu Oct 16, 2025 5:51 am I’ve absolutely no doubt the bean counters (not developers) at Fender have all the data they need to time the next major release just after the majority of subscriptions have expired.![]()
If they don't deliver something amazing, then I'm out for the time being. 7.2.2 is stable and "good enough".

Sad that my first love-at-first-sight DAW has come to this. Well, at least we weren’t married, so it’s OK. But sometimes breakups can be hard.
Now I’ll have time to learn Bitwig better as my creative DAW, and Reaper as my mixing DAW.
